Egmond aan Zee is a place where village friendliness and history come together. The village originated as a fishing village 1,000 years ago and has a lighthouse, the J.C.J van Speyk, fishing cottages and an authentic and car-free village center and a Pump Square.
Those visiting Egmond aan Zee can go to the beautiful beach or walk through the dunes and enjoy all the facets of this real tourist village. Come shopping in the cozy Voorstraat with a night market ( fair)and the many nice stores which are open 7 days a week.

Egmond aan den Hoef
Egmond aan den Hoef
Full of history and beautiful nature. In the center you will find the ruins of the Castle on den Hoef and the Culture House Huys Egmond. Here you can feel the rich history of this village and realize how many stories are hidden here.
Egmond-Binnen
Egmond-Binnen. Here you will find the oldest abbey in the Netherlands, the Abbey of Egmond.The abbey is open to visitors, you can enjoy the beautiful architecture and surrounding landscape here. Summers, of course, there are the bulb fields. You can cycling , hiking or horseback riding in the Dunes area. Parking is always free!

Italian Restaurant Angelo’s has the best Pizzas and Pastas in the Village

Don’t forget the Restaurants on Boulevard North such as Brasserie Bruut, where you can enjoy the beautiful view of the lighthouse.

is another popular option for food and drinks overlooking the
lighthouse
but right in the middle of downtown.

Shopping in the Voorstraat and Pompplein in Egmond aan Zee is fun,
It is a cozy and lively area, with many small stores and boutiques selling unique and original products.
Moreover, there is a wide variety of stores, from clothing stores to souvenir shops and gift stores to bric-a-brac stores.
Be sure to visit the ‘t Winckeltje or during the summer months a Ice cream at Pravisani. The wide variety is exactly what graces the front street, in the middle of the shopping street you will find just a shoarma bar and several gift and souvenir stores of course. For a smoke, head to Pomplein, Geert Bes’ store is not to be missed. Or still for the newspaper or a nice book there you can go to Dekker Bookstore fine
