Nude Beach

(naturist recreation) in the Egmond and Bergen North Holland

Bare on the beach

Everyone knows of a nude beach nearby. Or walks, whether by chance or not, along the nude beach at Egmond aan Zee Noordkant or at Egmond-Binnen (south side). For some of you, it does not stop there. Indeed, for them, the nude beach is a first introduction to naturism. Getting undressed for the first time on a nude beach is not that difficult either. Everyone is naked, so you only stand out with your swimwear on. In addition, there is often plenty of room to keep your distance from your neighbors. And those neighbors are also very recognizable.

The official nude beach is located between Bergen- and School by the Sea.

On the beach area described here, officially an activity beach, nude recreation has long been tolerated.

Due to its location behind the extensive nature reserve the North Holland Dune Reserve, the secluded beach area is very suitable for nude recreation; however, it is difficult to reach by car.

Nude recreation is tolerated between posts 35 and 36. The area is not signposted. There are no facilities on the nude beach.

Egmond aan Zee (North side)

This beach is not officially designated for nude recreation. But nude recreation has been tolerated here for years on this quiet beach between posts 35 and 36; the beginning of the nude beach is indicated by a pink post.

You can reach this location by walking north along the beach from Egmond aan Zee. The beach can also be reached by bicycle through the North Holland Dune Reserve, which requires entrance tickets.

Egmond aan Zee (south side)

Egmond’s second nude beach is located at posts 40.75 and 42.65 (Koepelduin) and is also called Egmond-Binnen.

From Egmond aan Zee, walk along the beach southward. You can also reach this beach by bike through the North Holland Dune Reserve. (Think about admission tickets)

Bergen aan Zee

On the north side of Bergen aan Zee, behind the Schoorl Dunes is the nude beach. Nude recreation is permitted between posts 32.25 and 29.50. On the beach, the area is indicated by the pink color of the beach pole head. No signs have been posted. In the area between beach post 31.50 and 32.25, before 2010 official nude beach, nude recreation still takes place and this is precisely the busiest part of the nude beach.

On the nude beach at post 32 is the beach pavilion “Uit de kunst.” Nude recreation is not allowed on the terrace.

There is no direct supervision on the beach; the nearest lifeguard station is at beach exit 24.
