Tour of the Tulip Hatchery

Tours take place on (most) Tuesday afternoons. Starts at 1:30 p.m.; advance registration is required.

During a live presentation, I will be happy to tell you more about the bulb process and tulip forcing. The many photos and videos about the flower and bulb process complete the story. After the live presentation, we will visit the greenhouses. During the tulip tour, we see the live process of tulips in the greenhouse. On a bulb tour, the bulb process is a special experience in the greenhouses.

Due to the attractiveness and completeness of the tour, this cannot be booked year-round.

Always wanted to know how a bunch of tulips is “made”?

Tulip forcing, water forcing, forest machine, bulb nursery and why are those beautiful blooming tulips outside being budded. After the tour, you will know what is meant by these terms. Over a cup of coffee/tea, you will first receive an explanation of the tulip nursery/hatchery based on a presentation. Then we visit the greenhouses and barns where in the summer the bulbs coming off the land are processed.

The tours in summer and winter are different in part because of the activities that take place on the farm. During the presentation, the entire process is described. From January to May when you visit the greenhouses you get to see the tulips in bloom the process of processing them. From July to September, work greenhouses are set up for the bulb processing process. Both are beautiful processes to follow.
