Schoorl dunes

Did you know that at about five kilometers, Schoorl possesses the widest dune area in the Netherlands? In the Schoorl Dunes, you can go out for a bike ride or hike. Schoorl’s most extraordinary dune does reside in the center itself.

Climbing Dune

Here you will find the famous Klimduin, a 51-meter-high sand mountain that connects directly to an extensive dune and forest area. On the climbing dune, children can have a great time, while parents watch and enjoy a drink quietly on the terrace. Up and coming fun for the whole family at the climbing dune in Schoorl.

Through the Schoorl Dunes area runs a well-known Mountain Bike Trail, a challenge for the sporty. The Kerf is a landmark in the dune area. Man has made a hole in the dunes here so that seawater can flow into the dune area undisturbed, which has a great impact on the local flora and fauna. In short, Schoorl the place for peace seekers and entrepreneurs!
