Huys Egmont opens its doors
On Friday, July 30, 2021, we opened our Huys Egmont, after months of renovations.

Many interested parties from the cultural historical world attended the opening of Huys Egmont July 30. The Egmond flag was hoisted by Martijn Mulder after which the guests could take a look at the beautiful cultural center in Egmond aan den Hoef.
The users, Historic Egmond Foundation and Kennemerwaard Library should be proud of the beautiful building. In the old town hall there is an exhibition about the Second World War with interesting information about Egmond aan den Hoef from 1940-1945. Also on display is a letter from Queen Wilhelmina to the family of Cornelis van der Veer who was a sailor killed in the service of the fatherland on Nov. 25, 1940. He was only 22 years old. Open Tuesday to Sun day 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
