We provide people with intellectual disabilities a pleasant and safe living and working environment.
An environment that responds to everyone's possibilities, choices and independence. An environment that also rests, security and structure offers.
On the farm clients live in an apartment in a so-called 24-hour residential facility. In addition, there still live clients in apartments housing project of The Clog Farm in Heiloo.
On the farm work these and other clients from the area in the goat, dairying and horticulture. They make a wide range of delicious organic goat milk products such as cheese and curd and grow vegetables and fruit. Craft local products, in a healthy and clean environment. Besides offering the Clog Farm still a wide range of craft, civil and creative activities.
History and Mission
Zorgboerderij The Clog Farm was started in 1976. This makes it one of the first care farms in the Netherlands.
At the onset of the care farm have two things contributed significantly:
1. The fact that in the seventies the possibilities and the individuality of people with intellectual disabilities came to be increasingly central. New residential- and teaching methods were now middle initiated in society and no longer beyond.
2. The experience that clients by visiting and working holidays on the farm flourished.
Contact with animals and the sheltered environment encouraged their development.
As a care farm De Klomp Hoeve we want clients meaningful offer agricultural and craft work and a pleasant, safe living environment. Such, that they feel connected to society and to develop personal.
2 various forms of housing
Farmhouse De Klomp Hoeve:
On the farm De Klomp Hoeve 24 hour counseling available. This residential facility consists of 2 cloches apartments. The clients run with the help of the facilitators their own household. Each client has its ownclient supervisor. This sets up a support plan with the client stating that supported the client and how. Clients with 24-hour supervision have an indication and stay within their own contribution EMEA.
Woonproject Moss Lane:
The village of Egmond aan den Hoef clients live in an apartment where they live independently with support. Depending on indication and guidance they need to get support in their own home situation. With their client supervisor they put a support plan. Besides direct supervision hours home the clients can rely on the facilitators of the support center.
The focal point is located in the same apartment building as the apartments of the clients. Here they can daily contact with their questions and problems or just for fun. A volunteer there eg gives computer classes.
The range consists of, among other:
- Natural goat cheese and herbs,
- quark,yoghurt with fresh cream
- butter,milk & Owner
- grated cheese, vegetables and herbs
- floral, honey, homemade jams
- cookies and other baked goods
- meat from our own animals
(regular supply of beef, calf, neither, lam en geit) etc..
In addition to our own product range we also sell products from other organic farmers from the neighborhood, For example, cow's milk cheese.
Gift items for you can also visit our store, These articles are made by clients in the activity centers.
The farm is run by our clients,volunteers and counselors.
Is a biodynamic farm associated with an activity (of Dagboerderij). The farm has several areas: the goat, dairying, horticulture and the civil administration. In addition, there are several handicraft, offered formative and creative activities.
Working on the farm takes place at different levels, depending on the indication of the client.
In the sphere of production with an indication W.S.W. (Sheltered Employment Act). And in the sphere of activity with an AWBZ indication (Exceptional Medical Expenses Act).
There appeared to be an increasing need for activities without direct production requirements for people who need more support.
Clients of Dagboerderij have an AWBZ indication. They have a shorter working day and get more guidance than the clients with a WSW-indication.
The activity that provides Dagboerderij is wide and varied. As horticulture and civil administration under the Dagboerderij.
The civil administration will provide coffee and tea, meals, janitorial, purchase, repair and painting.
There are carpentry work, store operations, cooking and baking, drawing and painting, singing and drama.
Visiting hours: Monday / Saturday from 13.00 AM to 16.00 hour.
