Die ersten Trainingseinheiten fanden in einer Garage statt. Die f\u00fcnf Egmonders der ersten Stunde waren: C. de Graaf, D. Groen, G. Dekker, M. Gul und A. Prins. Wenig sp\u00e4ter trat Ken Pettit dem Club bei, der den Club gut gef\u00fchrt hat. Ab 1969 zog der Verein in die gro\u00dfe Sporthalle des Dorfgemeinschaftshauses Hanswijk in Egmond aan den Hoef.<\/p>\n<p>Im Jahr 1988 \u00fcbernahm W. de Groot den Club und machte ihn zu dem, was er heute ist. In der Region Egmond wird also schon seit 58 Jahren geboxt. Ende 2018 ist W. de Groot pl\u00f6tzlich verstorben. Anfang 2019 wurde ein neuer Vorstand gebildet, der sich daf\u00fcr entschied, eine Trainergruppe mit der Durchf\u00fchrung der Schulungen zu beauftragen. Der regelm\u00e4\u00dfige Donnerstagabend wurde auf Dienstagabend ausgeweitet und zu Ehren des ehemaligen Trainers wurde der Name in Boxing Club De Groot ge\u00e4ndert.
