Every year in June so is this year’s Final Road from noon to 5 pm. Will be held the Hoever Art Market. Artists will offer their work for sale on about 60 stalls. A terrace has been set up in front of the Castle Chapel at the corner of School Street and Slotweg, where you can grab a snack and a drink. Live music will be performed at the terrace. The Castle Chapel itself is also open.

There will again be many works of art on display, including paintings, graphic work, ceramics and sculptures. There is also room for some old crafts. In and around the Castle Chapel, there is plenty to do for younger children. As in previous years, they can create their own artwork. Also this year, the artists, are looking for demonstrations on woodworking, ceramic making, engraving and so on.

At the same time as the Hoever Art Market, Stichting Historisch Egmond is organizing the Final Festival. Each year, a historical theme from the Egmond region is highlighted. In 2014, Middle Ages took center stage and provided a glimpse into life around Egmond Castle and the Slotkapel around the year 1500. At the level of the castle ruins, you could meet numerous characters and figures from the Middle Ages.

On the lawn in front of Hoeve Overslot, a tent camp from that era was set up in which old crafts were on display, among other things. There was also plenty to do for younger children. The Final Fest is part of the Hoeverdorps Festival and it is a wonderful addition to the art market
